He popped the question with a ring that he had designed himself, featuring a gorgeous vintage diamond that he had hand picked just for me. My hands jumped up to cover the excited grin on my face as the tears began to flow. Despite the dim lighting in the restaurant, there wasn't an eye in that room who didn't notice the moment we were sharing at the table in the corner. I had to catch my breath to be able to choke out the word "yes" as he nervously waited on his knee for my answer. He always reminds me that it felt like forever. The whole room of fellow diners erupted in cheers and congratulations and couple after couple came over to us and told us their own stories of love.

Every piece of jewelry has a story; it is received, chosen, and cherished with emotion. Jewelry isn't just something we give or wear, but a symbol of love, and a constant reminder of the memories shared. As I look down at the vintage diamond on my hand, it's been over 15 years since it was first given to me. I can't help but wonder, who was the first to wear this stone? Who gave it to them? How many lifetimes has this ring lived? How many memories shared with this as a part of it? Jewelry is timeless. I feel honored to treasure it now, and hope to pass it on to my kids some day.

...But really, it all started in 2008; We had just gotten engaged, and I (Jennifer) decided to join Angelo in his jewelry business. We spent every day together in the jewelry store showroom, and built lasting relationships with many of our customers. We both truly appreciate the privilege of playing a small part in so many love stories.
After lots of hard work; late nights, and early mornings, Angelo graduated from GIA (Gemological Institute of America) with a Graduate Gemologist degree in 2012. I had always loved gemstones, but I became even more inspired by the knowledge I gained from helping him study.
That same year we began Ruby & Juniper, now called Jewelry on Repeat. At the beginning it was just an experiment to see if we could sell a few vintage items to raise money for a fundraiser we took part in, to build a refuge house for victims of sex trafficking (you can read more about that project at courageworldwide.org).
What we didn't expect after we finished that project, was for our business to really take off. After the feedback we were getting from our customers online, we decided that it might be worth really giving a go.
I am so excited to be able to save some of the vintage pieces that our jewelry shop had collected over the years and share it with others who might appreciate the craftsmanship. So many antique and vintage items would otherwise be dismantled, melted, and the stones re-cut to meet modern standards. But there's nothing quite like the hand-pressed filigree, or imperfect-perfection of a hand-cut old mine diamond.
We love jewelry, we love our community, and we love our customers. Running our shop with integrity, and giving back to help others is something that we are very passionate about. We hope to continue to grow and share even more beautiful pieces with you, and make an impact for good in the world we live in.
